Horribly bad. I enjoyed the books in a time-killer sort of way, certainly not in a literary sense. But the first movie (I havent seen the 2nd) was baaaad. Especially the scene where she's in the hospital bed. OMG, it was *painful* to watch.

This. Well, til I got to the last book and then when the pay-off was SO SO SO bad, I shut down completely. Ugggh. Kristen Stewart is just terrible. Hated Adventureland because of her, too.

The acting is awful. Of course, the writing is awful, so they don't have much to work with. But even if they did...it's just really bad. 

In the interest of full disclosure, I enjoyed the books in the same way that I enjoy watching the Bachelor. It's total trash that is not particularly flattering to women, and it probably kills brain cells, but I do it anyway. 

I think the acting improved in New Moon with a new director, but it's still terrible.
