Rec your sprint phone please

We are switching from verizon to sprint and I am overwhelmed with phone options.  I think I want a smart phone, I have never had one.  I definately want a qwerty, and I like to use the internet on my phone.

i have had a few good sprint phones - just got the HTC Hero which is sorta similar to the iphone in many ways.  it runs off Google's Android which seems pretty good so far- i'm still getting used to the touch-screen keyboard instead of having actual keys.  but it has lots of applications you can download for free that do tons of cool stuff.  the phone was just on sale at best buy for $80 but sadly that sale is over now!!!

before that i tried the Reclaim... it's a slider with a full keyboard.  it was okay but i just didnt like that teeny tiny keyboard (like blackberry phones have).

before that i had a Rumor, and my mom got the new Rumor2, which i LOVE.  however if you use the internet a lot, it's a very small screen.

I second the hero. My sister has the moment though and really likes it. 

I just switched to sprint (we get a huge discount through my work). I started out with the palm pixi. I did really like it, but the placement of the microphone is really stupid. It's halfway up the side of the phone, so if I wasn't holding it right, my cheek would block it and people couldn't hear me. I had it for 2 days before I decided that it just wasn't going to work. 

So I switched to the blackberry curve. I did love it, but I kept getting dud phones...something went wrong with each of them. I went through three of them before deciding to get something else (my 30 days was almost up...so I felt like if I got another BB dud, I'd be stuck with it). So I got the hero, and I love it now.

It's much like my old iphone in many ways, and I like that about it. But, if you really don't want a touch screen keyboard, the moment has a slide out one, and it's very similar to the hero. It was just too big and bulky for me.

I have the Pre and really like it. It's similar to the iphone. I like it a lot. I slammed it in my car door (ooops) and have a Pixi while I'm waiting for them to get the Pre back in stock. I really like the Pixi too.
