Anyone know of any good deals on gliders?  We went and looked yesterday and found some cheap options but they were really poorly made.  Anything that was quality was like $700+ with the otamon.

We ended up with this... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00194F3A8/ref=oss_product  I could just not bring myself to spend the 700 for a chair...the expensive ones are probably Dutalier (sp) brand.  If you're not worried about the wood color and fabric choice, they do sell a few pre-selected Dutaliers at target.com

I would not recommend the Dutailiers.  We have had ours for a year and a half and already had to replace the base after much back and forth with the company.  It creaked as if it were 50 yrs old and did not glide smoothly anymore, but "bumped" back and forth.  It was very expensive (about $600 and change with the ottoman) and though the new base works great we were without a properly working glider for over a month, which is bad when you have a baby.

we are getting the dutailer frm BRU it is like $700 but  I have a coupon that should bring it down to $500 for gilder and ottoman. it's super expensive bbut i think worth it.

I was not satisfied with anything we found at Target or BRU. I was advised to make sure this was one purchase I wasn't afraid to splurge on, and I'm glad I didn't! I bought a SUPER comfy glider (skiped the ottoman, but they have them) in mist green and espresso from Raymour & Flannigan Furniture. The green is darker than it sounds. The chair was about $400 retail and the ottoman $99. We paid a little less...I never pay sticker price for furniture! Here is a pic of it.

I posted about this last week both on here and the 0-3 boards. After a lot of feedback, I bought a dutailier. Everyone said that was the one purchase to splurge on and I read A LOT of positive reviews for my chair. It was like $700 at BRU, but they had a special sale where they had them on clearance (30% off), then I combined that with a 20% coupon so I got the chair and ottoman for $400. Totally worth it!

I got my Dutailier from Craigslist, in almost new condition for an awesome deal.  Check there, and you may be able to score something great!

I hear nothing but good things about Dutalier. If we were to get one this is what we would have went with however we decided to take the upholstered route instead because it fit the style of our home better.

 I just bought this one at BRU with one of the 20% off coupons.  It's new to the store and I absolutely loved it.  Really comfy. You can order an otoman also.

shipping was $50. while that sucked, i still feel like i got a good deal out of it, making it a little less than $200 bucks with shipping.

I went to BRU and Buy Buy Baby to sit on them and decide what I like.  The one I want is at BBB and is $500 for ottoman and glider.  "ok" deal but well worth having a comfy one!

You know, I originally bought this on sale from Amazon b/c of the recline feature.  Then I went to BRU to check it out & realized the "multi-position locking feature" does not mean recline.  What it means is that it locks on the base in 6 different spots...the back doesn't move at all!  I was pissed so I cancelled my order.  I thought the description from Shermag was very decieving...
