I've been to Disney a few times and although I wasn't really good at guessing ages at the time, I'm pretty sure I saw babies < 1 month old. I worry a lot about both my girls being in the sun too much, but especially Emily. Even completely covered, 30 minutes is my limit. It's going to make summer a PITA but their skin is SO sensitive and Emily's is practically clear!
I'm almost positive there was one that was maybe right at 1 month or so. But there were also several that were laying in strollers (non-crawlers and non-walkers). I don't get it at all.

Wow! I thought I was brave taking Vivi to the park every day (obviously we're going for Anderson's benefit, not hers!) And that's completely covered and being worn - I could not imagine a day at a theme park in a stroller at her age. And it was hot in the sun today!

Um, I guess I will be one of those parents. We will likely take the babies this summer but only in the morning or late evening when it is cool. We have two older children and this is just part of their summer routine.

And there might be a beneficial side to this that I (as someone without kiddos) does not understand. I couldn't really explain earlier b/c I was typing on my phone. I guess I was just amazed that there were so many strollers in the park with kiddos napping in them. These weren't kids that just needed a break from the fun but rather kids that napped 90% of the day or something close. The youngest one that I saw was being held by his father- had on a onesie and a sailor type of hat and was pi$$ed off... The non-mom in me originally posted because I didn't even take into consideration germs or sun exposure really...I was more taken back that one person in each family possibly wasted the entry fee money as they were having to sit with said child at the entrance to each ride while the others rode. Not trying to offend...if there are multiple older kids in the family I might see it differently.
Since when in the summer is it "cool" anytime but maybe 3am ??? Cooler than 103, but still not what I would call cool in the evenings in Texas Mornings are just barely tolerable. And for me it's not about the temp anyway, it's the sun exposure. No matter how much sunblock you use or hats and covers, where there's light, there's UV exposure.

Yeah, DD and I were pretty much in the house until about October last year. We didn't really even go on walks except for a few times when we were home before 7 am, certainly wouldn't have taken her to a theme park.
When DD was tiny I was comfortable dropping the older kids/friends off at the park (Fiesta) and leaving them there all day to pick them up at closing. Last summer we took DD2 with us several times. We would stay all day and hang out in the water park/shade during the peak heat of the day. Of course we practically bathed everyone in sunscreen all day long.
We always see tiny (I asked and there was a less than 2 week old there when we were there last month) babies at Disney. I wouldn't even take DD to the grocery store in May when she was that tiny, let alone a theme park during flu season. I don't get it either.
