C-sect question re: steri-strips/tape

How long post op did your tape stay on? I'm three weeks out and it's just barely starting to peel off. I've left it alone because I want it to heal well, but is 3 weeks normal? How long did you gals leave your steri-strips or tape on?

I took mine off at about 2 weeks pp.

My doctor took mine off 6 days pp when she took the staples out.

Probably about a week and a half. They were starting to peel and I just helped them out a little!!!

I peeled mine off about 3 weeks because they weren't coming off themselves and they were getting on my nerves!

Mine remained on until I pulled them off (easily) around 7 weeks PP.

a week post op for me...i was really numb and still am so i didnt feel a thing ripping them off

At two weeks I went in for an incision check and the nurse took them off for me.

My OB said if they hadn't come off on their own at 2 weeks post-op to take them off myself.

I was told to pull them off after a week. I waited about ten days though, I was nervous

mine started to peel off themselves so i just took them off myself at about 3 weeks, there easy to get off in the shower

My OB wanted me to remove mine between 7-10 days PP. I waited until day 10 to take them off.

I took mine off at around 12 days - they were partially unsticking and kind of gross and I just wanted them off. I had an incision check with my OB at 14 days, and he said it was fine that they were off by then.

Per doctor's orders, I took mine off one week after I left the hospital. They were not going anywhere on their own!

I was told I could take them off 5 days after they were applied... they were put on the day I left the hospital (after the staples were taken out).  I think I took them off after about 6 or 7 days.  I was kind of nervous to take them off but it was fine!
