EVIL RSV

Well we are finally out of the hospital. I posted on the 3/1 that while waiting at urgent care my son stop breathing properly and turned blue. It turned out is O2 was at a 55. They thought it was RSV and sure enough, it was. We finally got home today. We have to go see his Dr. 2x a week for the next two weeks since he still isn't 100% but i'm so glad we got to come home and he is ok now. Neither of my other two LO's ever got RSV. It was the worst experience of my life seeing my son turn blue and watching him fight this infection for almost two weeks.  i deem it an evil viral infection i hope to never have to deal with again.

I am sorry that you and your family had to deal with this...but am so happy that he is finally home with you!

Congrats on taking your baby home!  I remember your first post and have been thinking about you.  I hope everything is smooth sailing for your family from here on.

My baby is in the hospital also, but we're stuck here for another week.  She has a strep infection in her blood.

We just got to come home yesterday from the hospital.  RSV as well.  Luckily I didn't have quite the scare you did.  We were diagnosed with RSV last Wed. and then I took him to the urgent care on Friday when he wasn't eating like he should.  Turns out he was choosing to breathe instead of eat.  We spent 6 nights in the hospital.  Horrible experience.  So glad to be back home.

I can't even imagine how scary that must have been. Thank goodness he's doing better!

My LO has RSV as well.  Not fun!!  So glad your LO is doing better!!
