ugh! She uses me as a pacifier!

Tessa doesn't fall asleep during her feedings but @ night, she's began using me to fall asleep for the night.  I know this is a terrible habit but it's way too soon to CIO, any tips?

Will she take a paci? I usually used the 'bait and switch"....I'd let them nurse, but as DS falls asleep I pop him off and give him a paci, then put him to bed.

One good thing about being used as a pacifier is that the sucking does stimulate your milk production, I attribute my bfing success to letting him nurse/suck anytime he wanted.

At 5 weeks I wouldn't worry about creating a bad habit. You are both still getting used to each other and nursing, it's good for your supply and it's good for her to be close to you and it's comforting. Habits change often so I wouldn't worry about it quite yet.

i agree with bait & switch. DD was using me as a pacifier and it was causing her to spit up because she was getting milk still while comfort sucking.
