I threw my bff's shower at cafeteria restaurant. They have a private room downstairs. I had mine in the city also....but unfortunately I can't even remember the name But there are tons of restaurants in the city with private or semi private dining area restaurants.
I didn't have one in the city, but it seems like Alice's Tea Cup is a popular place for showers. I used to live next door to the one on the west side, and there were always people coming out with baby shower gift bags, balloons, etc.
