While I said I wasn't going to have a birthday party for DS, I'm slowly changing my mind. Since my sister's four kids are out of control, I was thinking about having it at a park/playground. That way they are free to run around in the great outdoors instead of wreaking havoc on my house like they did at his baptism. Does anyone know how the picnic tables areas at the PDK playground work? Do you have to reserve them or are they first come first served? Any time I've been, I've seen several birthday parties and I'm wondering if they're FCFS, how early would I need to get there to secure one?
Re: PDK Airport Playground
Yes, you have to go through Downwinds Restaurant. They've recently changed the format of parties. It is a $300 minimum.
I thought about this for Ridge but it is per person ....which includes adults as you have to do lunch.
Seriously? Well, that's out.
ETA: I just looked on their website and they said they only do one birthday party before they open to the public which sounds like they do it at the restaurant. I swear I've seen multiple parties going on at the playground when I've been there. Either way, I'm not spending $300 on food for a one year old's birthday. The thought of having my nieces and nephew here, though, sends my blood pressure through the roof. Ugh.
nope. they use to hold the parties on the playground but moved it. it is private property so you could chance it but may get kicked off.
