My very wonderful friend picked up a stray back in November. The dog had not been taken care of. She went had all the necessary vaccines, ect, ect, ect...
She's been 'fostering' him while trying to find a forever home. She's realized that the environment is not the best for Noah (the foster dog) or her current dog. She refuses to take him to any shelters in Austin (they're all kill shelters). Do you guys know of any no kill shelters anywhere in Texas? She'll drive him wherever she can be confident in the end result.
I'm going to research a lot tonight - but if you know of anythign, please let me know.
Or, if you're interested in adopting a sweetheart Collie/Shephard mix. He's 8ish years old and has aurthritis in his back hips, but he's a kind hearted dog that needs a home without another dog - and where he can have space to play outside. You post here or email shanwalk2 at yahoo dot com
Re: no kill shelter - help needed

Thank you guys! I've emailed her all these options, plus a few more I've found googling. Hopefully she can find something soon.
She's worried because he's older and has those hip issues that he'll never get accepeted from a "waitlist" for a no kill. They'll take those that will be adopted asap.
