3d/4d ultrasounds

Does every place that do these ultrasounds require a doctor's signature? I go to Women Partners in Health and they already made it clear to me that they won't sign off on one of these, because it usually causes undue anxiety if the 4d US shows us something that they did not tell us during our "big" ultrasound. I'm a nurse and I know how things work, so I would still like to have one done. Any recommendations of places that don't require a md signature?

    I was told that they all do.  However, I wonder if the local teaching school would do a 3D or not?  I dont know but it would be worth it to check it out.

    By the way, my OB told me the same thing but in the end, she signed off on the Clearview form.

    We are going to Clearview this Saturday and they wouldn't do one with out a signature. I did get a lecture from my OB that it's not for finding out if anything is wrong but just for fun at this stage, which I completely understand. I'm uber impatient Stick out tongue and just want to know the sex.

    I would have which ever place you decide send the form for permission and see what the doctors say.  Can't hurt.

    They need it to ensure that you really are receiving prenatal care.
