I'm co-hosting an engagement party this weekend and want to make the famous crack-dip. I've got the recipe that Rosie posted, but wondering how much should I make? There will probably be 15-17 people and it's at my friend's lake house, so an all-day/night kind of party. Also, when to make it? During the day (party starts at noon and people will be staying all night), before we leave in the morning, now and reheat it?
We'll probably have 1 more dip and then some cheese/crackers and chips.
Thanks!!

I always hear about it after GTG's... Here's the recipe that Rosie posted:
https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Buffalo-Chicken-Dip/Detail.aspx
The recipe I've used (I think it was from Feisty?) called for 3-4 chicken breasts (boiled and shredded, might come out to a little bit more meat than 2 10-oz cans), plus 8 oz of crumbled bleu cheese. Both times I've made it, it made a HUGE casserole pan (I was traveling with it, so made it in disposable aluminum pans).
I think if you make it the way your recipe says, you could double it (maybe make it in 2 separate pans, that way if one goes fast, you could pop the other into the oven and have it ready to serve again in 30 minutes or so). To answer your question about traveling, both times I've prepared it in the pan and traveled with it like that, but didn't bake it until I got to my destination. That way it's hot when you serve it.
And if by some crazy chance you have any leftover, spread it on some bread with some swiss cheese, pop it in the toaster oven and it is yummy!!
