Bedding size

Hi, I'm not a frequent person on this board (although, now that I think of it I probably should be)

My step son just turned 4, and we are getting him out of his todler bed, into a 'big boy' bed. My husband and I are expecting our first LO together this June. In our spare room right now, we have my old queen size bed, but that room we will be transforming into a nursury for the new baby in the next couple of weeks. My husband and I are planning on putting the queen size bed we already have in my step son's room. I'm having a HUGE problem trying to find bedding for him, though. He wants sponge bob bedding. I can't for the life of me find any queen size sponge bob bedding anywhere. I've googled, I've ebayed. Nothing is coming up.

Is there anyone who happens to have a magic website they use for kids bedding in queen sizes? I know it's a long shot. If worse comes to worse I figure I can get yellow and blue sheets, then a full size sponge bob comforter and try to swing that. I'd just really love to find the actual bed set. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Bedding size

  • I'm not sure they will make queen size spongebob bedding, but how about getting something like plain blue, get 2 spongebob pillow cases and then get a couple Spongebob accessories to go on the bed (like a couple throw pillows and a fleece blanket and maybe even SB curtains if you can find those).  The pro would be the bedding can grow with him for a while and you can replace just a few things when he is sick of SB, but you still get the SB look you want for him now.

This is a great suggestion. We have a full size bed for DS and have a hard time with bedding. DS has been happy so far with the solid sheets, and using accessories like pillows, pillow cases, and blanket throws.

  • I'd probably just get a yellow and blue set and top it with a sponge bob pillow (target has one).  Kids outgrow themes so quickly it seems silly to go character crazy.
