sleep question

Ive tried crib since day one..,.. my daugher HATED it... everyone pressured me to just put her in it but i couldnt.  So i slept with her on my chest on the couch for 2.5 months, then moved her to the swing, every few weeks we would try he crib... this past weekend, we tred again... it worked!  Npow.... my problem is that she wakes up A LOT.... like every hour or so, needs to be soothed and goes back.,.. and eats every 3 hours..  im exhasuted from the random wakings between feedings!  For people who transitioned into crib, did you find that the random wakings decreased as they adjustied! please give me hope.... im a tired mommy!

Re: sleep question

  • Yes they decreased as he got more comfortable. Once he got settled he went back to waking once in the night or not at all. Last night he slept fromm 8:30pm-7:30am with no feedings in between

    hang in there!

  • Our son was the same way, spent many nights with him propped up on our chest or in the swing.  We bought a SwaddleMe, and ever since he has been able to sleep in the crib for 3 or 4 hours at a time with no waking up!  He still has trouble going down after the 5/6am feeding, but we found that the swaddling has definitely helped!  I just hope he sleeps as well when he grows out of swaddling!
