s/o dates - a clicky poll - how often do you and your DH go on a date?

So how often do you and your DH go out on a date?  My DH and I have only been on TWO dates since we had DS!

I feel like I see so little of DS that on the weekends we like to spend time as a family.  I think we really do need to start to make it more of a priority to have more dates though.

I get what you're saying here. But most of our dates start at or after bedtime so i don't feel like i'm missing out on hanging out with dd.

We try for once/week but it's usually more like once every other week.

I put monthly, but it's more like 2 or 3 times a month. When DD was your DS' age we had maybe been once. We found other ways to maintain and nurture our marriage that didn't involve leaving DD at home while we went out. We would have dates at home, or do stuff during the day that she could do too- hiking, going on the lake, stuff like that. Now that she's older we have less of an issue leaving her for a few hours.

We go out 2-3x a month BUT we are lucky that the IL's live very close. We can go to a random happy hour with little hassle. If we didn't have them here we would never go out.

We don't have family close by and haven't had the best luck with sitters (and it gets so expensive!) so we wait until family is visiting and go on real date nights then so usually once every 3 months or so!

I hate spending the money on a sitter, so when we go out it is when my parents or inlaws are in town!

We've only been out 3 times. I feel the same way about wanting to all be together on the weekends. We go out to eat all the time and we just take her with us. We've had SIL lined up to watch DD before and we've canceled at the last minute and just taken her with us.
