I've found that Lestoil is pretty good at getting these types of stains out. Not sure if it will work if the shirt has already been laundered though.

Is that in the detergent aisle? I've never heard of it!
Thanks!
Either the detergent of the household cleaners aisle. It's been a while since I needed to buy any, so I forget where it is. It is my go-to stain remover when nothing else works.

Also I would highly reccomend tide stain release. I throw one in every load and have not had any clothes come out stained in forever! That is saying a lot with how hard DS is on clothes.
If it doesn't get the stain out on the first re-wash, try it again. It does get grease stains out. It works better for grease -whether it's fresh or something that has gone through the dryer- than any other laundry stain remover I've tried.
I have several techniques. For blue jeans or work clothes that get grease (automotive) on them, I put Simple Green degreaser right in the washing machine. You can get a big jug of the concentrate at Home Depot or Costco.
For oil that comes from food stains, I use a few drops of Dawn dish soap rubbed into the fabric and then swish in the hottest water you can stand.
For all other stains, Resolve Bright & White works great. I just discovered that a few weeks ago and have removed several old stains with it.
I haven't read the other responses, so I'm not sure someone has already suggested this. But my good friend SWEARS by good 'ole dawn. The original blue kind. Her H owns restaurants and all of his stuff gets oil on it, and she says she gets everything out. Put dawn on the stain and rub in and let set. Then re-wash. Hopefully it works!

Thanks! I'm off to buy this and the Lestoil at Target today!
Regular Dawn dish soap.
