Infertility

After ET question...

Our ET was Monday and on one of the papers they gave me it says "You will not experience a "slipping out" sensation if implantation does not occur.  The embryos will merely disintegrate.  Implantation is essentially a metter of cell division continuing which will develop fingerlike projections that grow into the side of the uterus.  This will occus within the next 3-4 days"

What in the world is this saying?  Should I be worried if I don't feel that, does anyone remember telling a difference?  It's been bugging me all week so any input is appreciated.

Re: After ET question...

  • No don't be worried if you don't feel anything. I didn't feel anything and I got a BFP with my first IVF but later m/c.  Essentially what it is saying is that one of two things are going to happen.  1.) the embryo will implant into your uterus 2.) it will be reabsorbed into your body.  I really don't think you will feel either thing happening.

  • I didn't feel ANYthing and got a BFP with my IVF. Ignore that stupid paper which seems to only have a purpose of making you question every twitch and tingle.
  • Having had 4 transfers, I can tell you the BFP cycles feel a lot like the BFN cycles...

I think what they are saying is that if your embryo doesn't implant, it won't "fall out" of you, it just gets absorbed into your body.
