Thoughts and prayers requested

I just got back from a terrible appointment today. For a little back-up, I got my BFP a month ago today. We only did 2 sets of betas, which did double. We did a transvaginal u/s on Friday, Feb 26, at what I was calculating to be 6w1d. We didn't see the baby, just a sac, but the OB felt like it was a little early, so had me come back today.

Again, we didn't see the baby. The sac is measuring only 4 days bigger, even though it has been 12 days since we last went in. The doctor says it may still be a little early, and is having me come back next week, but I have basically lost all hope for this one. I mean, for me to get the BFP on Feb 10, I cannot possibly only be 6w pregnant, which is how big the sac is measuring. I may be a little off on my dates, not knowing exactly when I ovulated, but I can't possibly be two weeks off, with a positive pregnancy test at that time.

The doctor only has a small portable u/s machine, so he says maybe the magnification is just not good enough, combined with being earlier than I expected.

But, still... I have already had 3 miscarriages this year. I know this limbo dance all too well.

Seriously, FML.

If nothing shows up next week, I think I will request a referral to one of the imaging places in town.

I can't believe they wouldn't send you somewhere to have a better u/s done...I would want to, even if it didn't look good.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know it's so painful. My doctor's U/S machine sucks, too, and at that early gestation, she would be able to see a sac, too, but b/c her machine is older than the hills, she would not be able to pick up a fetal pole. My OB sent me to an imaging center for that early u/s. Can your OB do the same?
