NPR: My heart just stopped

I live and work by the military base so I'm pretty used to the test sounds, helicopters and cargo planes. But I just walked out of work and an Air Force cargo plane was flying over. I could hear the screeching of the landing gear, read the writing on the side and it barely cleared the building. My heart is still pounding. OMG. Not something you want to see.

Wow...are they usually THAT low and you just don't know it because you're in the building?  That would freak me out.
