B/G Twin Birthday Themes?

For all of you with B/G twins or even same sex twins that are into different things.  How do you guys pick birthday party themes.  Mine are only turning one, so this year will probably be easier than future years, but I was wondering if you do 2 themes or do you try to find one that works for both?

My friend with b/g twins that just turned 2 had 2 different thems for their party.

prince and princess?  mickey and minnie?  My first thought is to go to male / female pairings that aren't lovey dovey.  Or, I think, as pp said, even if you mix and match cars and princesses (or something that is at least in a corresponding color scheme, if you can), I think that would be fun.  Or, something unisex like pooh and piglet.

i have been thinking about that a lot. i think 1st bday will be pooh bear (it was DS's first and just really seems like the perfect theme for 1st) then i think i would go with two different themes after that (of course trying to get a little matching...idk though b/c i think that would be confusing with invites...maybe just not themed invites?) i would definitely have separate cakes though. 

this just after a little thought not too much...i still have time :-D

We are looking at Sesame Street stuff because they all love Elmo and his friends!  I know it is awhile but we are already plannning!

I'm not big on themes overall, but until they're old enough to request a certain theme, I think we'll just do one general one.

I am doing thing1 and thing2 ....very twinny and played out but I am doing it anyway.

Obviously, we have a LONG way to go, but when the twins get older and are more "aware" of their birthdays, I'd like to do a full out circus theme and have some face painting (done by a relative or something) cute circus themed games, etc! I think it's neutral and since there are two kids, it will be twice the fun! We will probably let them choose their themes when they get older and we'll do two! Not a big deal-just use accents and not go completely crazy with the knickknack decoration stuff!

i did an animal theme because i referred to myhouse as a Zoo. when it is time to eat i say...It's feeding time for the animals at my zoo!
