Anyone have a metal allergy and an IUD?

I'm considering the copper IUD but I have an allergy to most metals. I've been assured that the copper in the IUD is non-allergenic but I'm curious to know if anybody has any experience. TIA!

    I wouldn't do the copper one (not sure about allergies, but my friend has it, and for a while, she had a cooper orange vaginal discharge and she was saying that area always smells like metal). Why not the mirena since it's plastic?
