I would like to scream. LOUDLY.

1 - I have a pounding headache.  Awesome.

2 - my husband told my MIL the gender guess.  Her response?  I hope it's wrong, otherwise Beth will spend too much money.  F*ck you, seriously.  For one, I spend w/in my budget, you judgy hag, and for two, I make a crapload of money off what I buy and sell on ebay for Jackson.  So bite me.  And if it is a girl, the first chance I get, I am buying some outrageous Strasburg dress and telling you it cost double whatever it did, just to piss you off.

3 - my brother's wedding is in June.  Space for guests is limited.  My mother is super petty and immature and LIED to my dad's sister about knowing the date and hotel information.  I found out b/c my aunt recently contacted ME for this information, saying my parents had told her they didn't know yet (as of a month or two ago).  LIARS.  All because my mom wants to be able to invite more of her friends and thinks my dad's sisters are tacky or something.  NEWSFLASH, mother: you are the tacky one.  YWIA.   I hate being put in the middle of this idiotic BS.

Re: I would like to scream. LOUDLY.

  • Wow.  Go sit in your car and scream.  Have you ever done that?  I haven't, I just can't imagine doing it.  I am not a screamer but my husband has.

Anyway, it all sounds annoying.  Sorry.

yes, they did!  I just posted this morning/early afternoon about it.  I'm not buying anything yet, but a guess is fun.  :)

I hope your daughter feels better soon.  :(

  • That is AWESOME!!!

Yes, we were at Children's Hospital yesterday with her.  It so awful seeing her sooo sick!  Thank you.

  • Yikes!  I want to scream for you!
  • So sorry you are having a day like that.  Hope it gets better:)

On another note I am about to write a post about this above, but can ask you as well.  Are you in the wedding?  My brother is getting married Labor Day weekend and I need a black maternity bm dress.  Did you look at all if you are?

  • yes I am - we were TTC when I ordered my dress, so I ordered a dress about 2 sizes too big.  It's the same as the rest of them, though.  So basically, I am NO help.

Maybe I can find some chocolate to make this day better... it started out so good, too.  Stupid moms.  ;)

momintn - I'm so sorry you were at the hospital - I'll be hoping she gets better ASAP and is on the road to recovery!  :)

  • What style of dress is it?  It sounds like we will be at about the same point in our pg when the respective weddings are.

  • Its this dress, and I will have the sash moved and altered to make it empire waisted:

    https://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/2058/

it's already sort of empire, but I will make sure the sash is moved to be right under my bust, so I don't look weird.  haha.

  • I'd be so annoyed too. But isn't the idea of shopping for girl clothes just cheering you up? I'm so, so glad to be shopping for a little girl again. :)

oh it is... there's so much fun stuff to look at.  Actually shopping for a baby in general cheers me up, but it's even more fun to look at gender specific stuff.

  • Hmm...I will have to ask her specifically which one she is looking at, maybe I could alter similarly.  Thanks for the info.  Is Jackson in the wedding? I can't wait to see my little guys walk down the aisle.  They each have a little girl to escort.  It is going to be so cute.
  • Yes, he is!  He's the ring bearer, and will be walking with my cousin's daughter.  So cute...

I was in 3 weddings while pg w/ Jackson, and it was really easy to wear the regular bridesmaid dresses.  On one when I was 5.5-6 months pg, I just had to have the sides let out a bit (it was loose-ish from the bust down), and when I was 6.5 months pregnant, I had a fabric added in on the back of the dress (like a panel) since it had been ordered before I knew I was pg.  The 3rd one I knew I was pg, and was 8ish months pg.  I ordered several sizes up and it was empire waisted so it worked fine, just had to be taken in in the top and the straps had to be shortened.

  • Good to know.  I would rather match anyway than stand out.  Thanks!

    Wow. Your mom. Just wow.

I know right?  SHE IS CRAZY.  And horrible.  Who does that?  And my dad... how does he let her get away with this?  If I tried that, MH would call me on it, yet my dad goes along w/ it.  Probably b/c she's crazy.

And b/c my aunts occasionally email me, I get stuck dealing with this.

I can't even begin to explain and enumerate the insane things she has done since my brother got engaged.  Another recent example is going BSC about going to a shower thrown by the bride's aunt.  She INSISTED she be invited, and when my brother made sure she was, she flipped out on him b/c it's a weekend she has to work.  Uh, what??!  Either you want to go or you don't.  QUIT BEING A PSYCHO.

I should mention that she has also lost it because they are letting my other brother and his wife get married at my parents' house.  Complete w/ my dad's ex-wife (brother's mother) that my mom does not get along with.  She's deluded herself into thinking she will be able to tell the ex-wife that she can't come in the house while people are getting ready there (everything is outdoor besides that).  Exactly how will you say that and enforce it, you demented FREAK?

  • I would have lost my mind a long time ago if I had to deal with your mom. Wow.

  • I'm starting to think we really dodged a bullet by moving to TN over closer to Louisville (where my parents are).  haha.

Oh my god, if I don't laugh, I'd lose my mind.  I really think I would.

My brother and I have taken to calling each other and saying "your mother is so f*cking crazy, listen to what she did!"

  • My dad puts up with a lot of sh!t from my mom just because it's the less painful path to take. Granted, he then b!tches like crazy about her to anyone who will listen. It's a miracle my relationship is as healthy as it is with them as role models. Oy.

See, this is what makes me hesitate to move back to MI. DS loves my parents, and I want him to spend time with them, but they might drive me insane.

  • it's definitely the path of least resistance that my dad takes (and he doesn't b*tch about her, so I guess that's good).  But it makes it worse for everyone.  Of course, that's how we all mostly deal with her, b/c it's easiest.

and after the past 7 months, I am 99% sure that if we lived near my parents: (1) Jackson would love it, (2) I would be miserable and (3) I'd be divorced.

  • If it is a girl I can soooo help you spend money or at least lie about what the stuff cost.  I would be beyond pissed about MIL.

As far as your family goes, that is awful that you are put in the middle.

Hope everything gets better (or at least ok) soon.  ((hugs))
