Swim class attire

Ok so I know nothing about what dd should wear to swim class. I saw the i play swim bottoms at bbb, so does dd wear that under a regular suit? If so, what is the point in their decoration? Do they wear them alone? or with a swim top? Or should I just get a bathing suit for her and get the pamper swim diapers? We have NO experience with a swimming baby!

we've never been to a class but when I took DD to the pool last year, I put on swim diapers under a bathing suit. For outdoors, I like the swimsuits that have UV protection built in, we bought ours at Target. If you plan to take her to an outdoor pool this summer, I highly recommend these.

For swim class we just use a swim diaper and her bathing suit. Some of the bathing suits are also lined.

We're starting a swim class on Sunday, and have: this bathing suit, swim diapers (from the grocery store), and "plastic pants" which are apparently required for the pool. I got these plastic pants at Buy Buy Baby. My plan is to put on swim diaper, then the plastic pants, then the bathing suit.
