Re: Picture Location

  • Hubby and I had our pics taken for our 1 year anniversary @ the rose gardens and they turned out great. I can send you a link to them when I'm on my pc and not my blackberry :)

The Japanese Gardens do not allow professional pictures to be taken :(

  • We did ours at the Chinese Gardens in the Pearl, they turned out wonderfully, and it's partially covered in case it rains.  The website says "no portraits" but we didn't have any problems taking pictures...

  • The Japanese garden is very strict about portrait photography so I would forget about it. I would probably check out Pittock mansion, Laurelhurst Park, or Washington Park. Tanner Springs park in the Pearl is cool too or along the waterfront.

Does your friend know anything about photography? Avoid overly sunny days because the sun will create harsh shadows. If you do go out on a sunny day find a shady spot. And watch out for speckled light, meaning there is shade with some sun spots.

  • I would recommend the Rose Gardens in Washington Park. Washington Park itself is also beautiful!

  • You could also do Dawson Creek Park off of Evergreen Parkway if you want to stay close to home. :) I love taking pictures there. Fountain, wildlife, the tunnel is cool and lots of trees.

Rose Garden and Japanese Garden are good too :)

  • There's a bunch of photo location spot ideas in our photogs blog today!

    Great timing!

  • We did Tre's six month pic's at Mt. Tabor and it was awesome! Some friends also went to Jenkins Estate and had some really beautiful shots and even Rood Bridge Park in Hillsboro would be quite pretty. Have fun!
