High-Risk Pregnancy

Switching to a CNM with placenta previa?

I'm currently just over 12 weeks pregnant, and while I haven't been diagnosed with placenta previa yet, I do know that the placenta is currently covering the cervix.  Since I am hoping for a VBAC with as little intervention as possible, I'm in the process of switching from my ob/gyn to a CNM (certified nurse midwife).  I know that CNMs don't see high risk patients, so when do I need to be concerned that I would have to switch back to a ob/gyn?

I am very aware that the odds are in my favor (hence my optimism here) but I don't want to switch to a CNM, if I'm just going to be sent to a different ob/gyn in a few weeks if I do get diagnosed with placenta previa.  Can anyone tell me there experience with this?
