I know this has been posted but honestly I'm being lazy and don't feel like searching. But I got soooo many towels from BRU for my shower with no gift recipts. BRU wouldn't let me return them. So one of my friends said that if I put them on my registry they would then return them. Is that true? Do I just put them on my registry and then put that they were purchased? Does anyone know how this works or been successful with this? I really don't want to be stuck with 6 packs of the multipack towels. I know we'll never use them all:-)
And for what it's worth, BRU return policy SUCKS!

Re: Registry return question
I just had my registry this weekend and got a lot of duplicates as well on a bunch of stuff. I also received stuff that I didn't register for, but had gotten as hand me downs so I just added them and clicked purchased.
Haven't been there to try returning, but it better work! All the business we're bringing to that damn store with our registries!!
Yep this is what I did and they gave me a refund!
I'm not convinced there even is a policy b/c I tried to take some stuff back in January without a receipt and they wouldn't take it unless it was on my registry (I didn't have a BRU registry). So I went home and put everything on there, plus I got some more stuff I wanted to take back so I added that too. I went back to the store and the lady said that they no longer require things to be on the registry in order to return them, it had only been about 3 weeks since I had tried the first time.
I agree with pp that you could try another store because their policy is definitely not consistently applied, but all it may take is to try the same store on a different day when someone else is working. Good Luck!
I had heard the same thing, but I went this past Saturday, and they let me return whatever was from their store...
I'd try a different one, or different person...
