Wrap ?

So we are planning on going to mexico in 7 weeks and we are planning a day trip to the mayan ruins and I was thinking it myight be easiest to wear my little guy.  He will be 8 months old then, but my main concern is for the wrap to not be so warm.  any suggestions?  TIA

ncbelle is the wrap guru around here, but from what I've read- Vatanai, BB Slen and Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Breeze are the go to wraps for warmer climates/summer. The Bali's are thinner though, more like a gauze, and probably wouldn't be as comfortable for long wearing as the Vats or a BB Slen. I love my BB Slen for wearing DD, as it's super supportive, just my little personal plug.

this whole wrap things is so ovrewhelming.  I have a moby but I want to do a back carry.  Ithink that would work best while on our trip.

I loved my gauze wrap when it was hot, but I'm not sure how it would work for a bigger baby. I would suggest that whichever wrap you go with, make sure your DH is comfortable wearing him, too, so you can switch off.

I've got info on brands in my siggy.  Vatanai will be the coolest; BB Slens would be nice as well and are a bit cheaper.  I love both and would happily wear either to Mayan ruins ;-)  You'll find both to be much cooler than the moby!

I have a Hoppediz that I wore in Cuba and we were fine. The first few days were kind of cool but after that it got up to 35 degrees (Celsius).

Part of how warm wearing in a wrap is depends on which carry you do.  If you are doing a back wrap cross carry, you are sure to be warmer than if you did a RUB (ruck tied under bum)  Whatever you choose, I would suggest getting it sooner rather than later so you have plenty of time to practice and get comfortable with it before doing it on the go!  Have fun!
