Dog kennel for a toddler? Sure!

So, I have this outdoor exercise pen/dog kennel thing meant for a small dog that I listed on Craigslist yesterday. Got this in an email:

 If you still have this exercise pen, I'm very interested.  I want it for our 16 mos. old for when she's out in the yard.
Will it work for that?

Um, seriously? You want to put your toddler in a dog kennel? Sure, lady...

    Uhm... I had not thought of that.  I could use that for DS.  He is always crawling over to the neighbors house.

    DH said that a million times when we were expecting DD.  He thought it would be great for the barn.  No different than a pack n play or crib with a tent. He would never do it, but he really can't see why not.
