Milk in cup help please...

When you introduced milk in the cup, did you feed you kiddo just like it was a bottle?  Did you just give them the cup when they are running around and did they drink everything?  Fill me in. TIA

ds started getting a sippy at 7 months with every meal.  up until 11 monhts we only gave him water or once in a while diluted juice.
around 10 months we started offering him formula with his meals in a sippy and he wouldnt have any part of it! 
he weaned himself from the bottle at 11 months so we started giving him milk in his sippy with every meal.  it was pretty much cold turkey.  we never fed it to him like a bottle, and it took a few weeks before he was drinking the rec'd 10-12oz per day.

about 9mos we intro duced the sippy with water and juice. at 15mos we cold turkeyed the bottle because he refused to drink the milk out of the cup as long as he was still getting hte bottle. tok 3 wks but he finally took it. I offered at meal times and with snacks.
