On Bedrest with Spring Fever!

Ladies- I think this is going to start getting harder.  I think that for the last almost 8 weeks it has been more bearable knowing that it was cloudy and gray and snowy outside.  But now, the sun is shining and it's really mild and it just smells like spring.

And next weekend- we turn the clocks forward!  Which means it's going to feel even more like springtime!  I am dying to get outside.  I have this really strong urge to get out there and cut back my roses so they grow nice all summer.

Had to vent.  Hope everyone else is doing well.

  • I feel you! It is SO beautiful here. I walked to the balcony (I know I shouldn't but I had too!) and it was gorgeous.

    This is becoming torture.

  • I know it's in the 70's here and sunny. It's actually going to be 80 by the weekend. I have decided to open the sliding glass doors and some windows so that I can feel the beautiful breeze.

My BF was telling me all about the fun things she did this weekend in the beautiful weather.  She went to Epcot Saturday to walk around(her DH works for Disney and they get in free) and yesterday she went to Church and then for a walk with her husband and LO at the park.  I'm jealous.

  • I know, being on bedrest in Dec/Jan/Feb was kind of like, oh, ok, what else would I do anyway (other than work and see friends, etc.).  But I love exercising outside, I love when it starts to warm up and I go for walks and jogs and watch all the flowers come up and the trees bloom.

I feel lucky that I am allowed out a little each day, so I will go out this afternoon and air myself.  I am also glad that my pregnancy will be over soon... I have 2.5 weeks until they consider me full-term.  I am telling myself 2.5 weeks is nothing.

  • I hear ya!  I want to go for a walk with Troy and our dogs soooo bad!  We did have to go to an appt last week and I asked him to drive around for an extra 15min with both windows open!  Heaven!!!!!

  • Oh gosh I know! I had the curtains open yesterday so I could see the sunshine and it was wonderful! However, today it's almost depressing to see the sun and know that I can't go out in it. I almost want to close all the blinds and just go back to bed, almost.

I am going to get my husband to pull out the cushions for our patio furniture this week some time so I can sit outside some (I'm only on partial bed rest now). Although that may make me more miserable...

  • I completely agree - the sunny days are the WORST.  I can see all the cherry blossom trees blooming in my neighborhood from my bedroom window.  It just kills me that I can't go for a walk.  I'm secretly hoping for  a second burst of winter so it won't be so hard!!  Hoping that as I get further through this, I'll be allowed some sort of modified bed rest so I can at least sit outside on these gorgeous days!!

Good luck to everyone on the week ahead - we're getting there!!

  • I know! I had DH open the blinds and I cracked the windows, the birds are chirping, it is so nice out! Thankfully I get to leave for an appt today so I'm looking forward to that!
