He used DS's nystatin to put on his athlete's foot. I specifically asked him to use a different finger if he needed to get more medicine to apply to his foot. He used his index finger to get medicine twice after he touched his fungal foot.
I'm pissed because how effing hard is it to use another finger and he doesn't understand what the big deal is because it's fungus medicine and it's designed to kill whatever he would've contaminated it with.
Re: who's right, me or dh?
Certainly he could contaminate the outside of the tube, etc. In theory, he's right, that the cream should kill any fungal contamination in the tube, but he may be contaminating the tube with bacteria, etc. from his foot that wouldn't necessarily be killed by the drug. He may have a different strain, or drug-resistant strain of fungus that you wouldn't want to cross-contaminate your son with.
But, short story, it's unlikely to do any harm, but it isn't the most hygenic way of going about things.
What he did is annoying but your reaction is sure to start a fight and it's just not worth it.
This and I understand because my dh would do the exact same thing. I know that annoyance! But it is not worth the battle.
you're sounding a little psycho TBH.
