laundry detergent question

Do you think pricier laundry detergent = less faded clothes? Right now I used Costco generic detergent and I'm wondering if I used some kind of color saving detergent if it would make a difference (or if that's just a marketing ploy)?

I don't think there's a difference. I buy whatever's on sale and that I have a coupon for....I do A LOT of laundry.  I use Tide/Gain/All/Up&Up at various times and I have never noticed a difference in how they wash.
