Nurseries and Baby Gear

Multiple pack n plays?

So when I used to watch my friends kids I had two pack-n-plays.  One in my basement (cause it was my office/playroom) and one in the living room.

We moved to another 3 level townhouse and I was just planning to have the crib in the nursery and a pack-n-play in our room (they are on the floor).  Hubby said he wanted another one for the living/dining room area so I didn't have to take the baby up and down the stairs if they are sleeping.  We were not planning to put one in the basement because I don't really go down there.

So I am just wondering for people who live in multiple level dwellings do you have something on every floor?

Thanks...

Re: Multiple pack n plays?

  • Since I have to have a c-section my mom insisted we get 2. One for our bedroom (instead of a bassinet) and one in our family room (on the first floor). When I'm able to walk more and we don't need 2- I'll give my 2nd on to my mom for when she babysits.

  • I am getting a travel lite pnp to use as a bassinet and for travel this summer while LO is still little. And I have a PNP for the main floor of our house for naps and such.

exactly this. our basement is finished so it's technically a third floor but it's dh's office and our guest room so i don't see the need for a third pnp down there bc the babies and i won't really use that floor.

Yeah, my basement is finished but since I don't work like I used to I don't need to use the office down there.  We have it setup as an office/TV room but the only reason I ever go down there is laundry.

Okay, I will get one for the LV as well.  I saw one today for $69 that will get the job done.  I actually already have one but I just don't think the basinette part is sturdy enough for my liking and I got rid of the changing part long ago.  It has mostly been used as a baby jail when friends come over with kids that need a nap and to be contained as our house is no where near baby-proofed yet.  LOTS of stuff to pull down and cords to get tangled up in!

    Thanks :-)

I am glad others are getting co-sleepers.  When I told hubby I got one he looked at me like I was crazy.  Like "why would we put the baby in that in our bed"?  But he used to let GC sleep with us all the time, but she was at least 1 the first time.

  • We have a 4 story townhouse, but the top story is the rooftop deck.  So we will have the PnP in our room (on 3rd floor with baby's room) for the first few weeks and then move it to LV on 2nd floor.  We have a another PnP that someone gave us that we will take to MIL's.
