Sorry, I'm quoting West Side Story there.

But I think I just saw DD #2 take her first (unassisted, non-cruising) steps.  Of course, DH is asleep, the video camera is not nearby, and when I tried to get her to repeat it, BOOM, she sits right down and starts crawling.  But I swear I saw it!

Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

    How exciting!

    I'm just learning how unlikely is that the camera will be nearby when something big happens.  Yesterday all of the sudden DD was on her tummy and all of a sudden rolled onto her back.  I knew she was *trying* to roll, but I'd never seen her even complete back to front and all of a sudden front to back was so easy.  I did manage to get some video hours later, so hopefully your kiddo will cooperate for daddy and the camera later today :)

    Aww, yay for her!  I never realized when watching movies or TV that the whole 'getting their first steps in video' thing was so outrageous.  I mean what are the chances your camera is actually rolling when they decide to do it.  Plus, like you said, once you do go get the camera they just want to sit there and look at you like "hey, what's that thing you got?  It's way more interesting than whatever I was doing a second ago"
