Trying to Get Pregnant

I drove for the first time today! NFT

I am 26 and just getting my license now (shameful, I know! Embarrassed)

Today DH took me to a secluded parking lot and let me drive circles in his Jeep.  I know it sounds weird to those of you who have been driving since 16, but it felt very different than I expected!

I'm back at it tomorrow... wish me (and all those around me) luck!

  • That is awesome!

Can I ask why you never got it before?

  • Yay, that's exciting!  I remember when I first started driving, I only wanted to drive on empty streets.  I was terrified when there was another car.  Good luck!

  • I don't think it's weird, my Aunt never got hers.

It must feel liberating to finally be getting it. It probably felt that way for me at 16 but I don't really remember all the details.

Good luck!! and don't confuse the gas pedal and the brake, I did that when I was learning and my mom almost had a heart attack right there.

I live in a big city with a pretty good public transit system.  Also, it has always terrified me.  I work in insurance litigation and I look at pictures of car crashes all day... it has scared me to death!

Now that I've started I'm pretty excited to drive.  I realize now that I need it if we are to have a family and if there is ever  an emergency.  Also, it's just good to have for my own independence.

LOL. It started off as a 'no further text' post and then I got excited, haha.

I guess I should proof read more thoroughly before posting Big Smile

Congrats Sweets!  I came late to driving too after a scary experience when I was first learning to drive.  It terrified me for a long time afterwards and I finally got comfortable recently.  You'll be great!  For me, it was all about confidence.
  • Have fun with it!

  • Congratulations!

I'm still a non-driver as well, I'm too nervous about the whole thing to go learn. I hope to learn though, it would be nice to go where ever I please. Without having to ask someone to take me there.

  • Congrats! I didn't get mine until I was almost 20. Think of all the money you saved! lol
