Ooooh, awesome topic!  I got my second tattoo after my m/c.  It's Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you.  It's in Aramaic, which is the language that Jesus spoke.  It's between my shoulder blades and I love it!

I've tried twice to put a picture in this post but I can't.  Any tips? I'd love for y'all to see it!

I always upload the image to Photobucket and then use the "direct link" and paste it in the "insert image" on the tool bar of the reply next to the smiley face. I paste it in "image URL."

Oh, I don't know what you can't see it. It is a cherry blossom on the inside of my left wrist.

Oh, I don't know what you can't see it. It is a cherry blossom on the inside of my left wrist. 

I was able to drag it open in this reply so I can see it. Very cute! I loooove wrist tattoos! I wanted the tattoo that I have on my neck on my wrist but the tattoo is too long to fit.

I have a tribal star on my lower back and I have my wedding date in roman numerals on the back of my neck. My husband has the same tattoo around his wrist.

I have 3:  Butterfly/moon on my lower back.  It symbolized a change in my life, where I wanted to put the past behind me and move forward.   

I have a large stargazer lily/design up my right side (hip.).. hard to explain, but it's my favorite flower and a friend of mine designed it.

Lastly I have the scorpio sign on my left hip, right above where your bikini would start.

One of my best friends got me a tattoo for my 19th birthday.  (I know, awesome gift, right?!?)  It's on my right back/hip & it's an Om.  The dude photocopied a t-shirt I had it on, so it's one-of-a-kind!  I got it to remind myself of what's really important in life & to help myself stay centered.

I always said I'd only get one, but I really like the idea of having something to commemorate our m/c...the cherry blossom was a beautiful thought!

How topical. I am just right now designing a tattoo to get on my shoulder blade to remember my baby by. It's going to be a morning glory, the birth flower for September.

I have 4 and they're all pretty large.

The largest one is a piece spanning most of my chest below my collarbones. It's two jars pouring water over a lotus. Buddhist-inspired.

I have a maple leaf on my ribcage because autumn is the greatest time of the year for me and the time in which all my close family have birthdays.

I have on my hip the cover of Death Cab for Cutie's album Transatlanticism. My favorite album of all time.

My last tattoo is my least favorite... two dolphins on my lower back. I was 19 and dating a guy who drew tattoos... what can I say. A coverup is imminent! 

 

edit! I actually have 5, always forget about the most recent one: Aum right below my neck. You can see it in my profile pic!

I've tried a kabillion times to upload my pic - I've used the direct link from both Photobucket and Picasa.  I paste the URL and it does nothing when I hit insert or it'll just close when I hit 'insert' and no picture. :-(  

And it's such a pretty tattoo...

I think tattoos there are very sexy. I want to get one there, but I don't know what yet. I also would want to grow my hair out so I could put it up so you could actually see it.

Are you selecting the "direct link" code from Photobucket? And then pasting it into the "image URL"? You can email it to me if you want and I will upload it for you.

 I have no idea how or why it worked this time!  Whatev, here's my tattoo y'all - right after he finished.  BTW, it reads like Hebrew so it starts at the 12 o clock position and goes counter-clockwise.

Now, if I could only figure out how to turn off the thing that emails me every time someone responds!  I can't wait to post more and get to know y'all but I'd rather not have my email going off every 15 seconds. :-)  

I'll figure out this forum thing yet!

I'm late on this, but I do have a tattoo.  I got it a week after my D&C.  I wanted one for a long time and had a design in mind, but didn't have enough motivation to actually get it.  After my m/c, I had a strong desire to get it immediately.  It is on my back, between my shoulder blades.

 --Overall, it is a Celtic knot, which represents my Scottish heritage.
--the cross = my faith
--the two rings = my marriage
--the three 'stones' around the outside are for DH, DD, and my birthstones. (All October)
--the green stone in the center is for the baby we lost. (May due date)
--There is a blank spot for another birth stone for a baby we hope to have soon.

I have 5. My fav. is in my signature. It's on my upper back. I have "My Love" on my wrist. My husband was overseas so we got tattoos for each other. On my foot I have a nautical star, stomach a rose with a skull in the middle, and the one I regret is a playboy bunny on my lower back. Got it when I was 17 and I am getting it covered soon!

I have a flower on my should I got as my 18th birthday present from my parents   No meaning lol.  Then, I have tinkerbell on my hip.  It was cute at one time, now she looks like a crack whore (*note to self, do not get tattoos where skin stretches during pregnancy).  I'm working on one to honor Matthew now.

I have a tramp stamp. I have angel wings that I got when I was 18. At that time I had a huge collection of angel things and I wanted the wings. I've always planned on getting my parent's initials in there when they pass, but I think I'm going to get Aidan's name put in there.

I have the Trinity symbol on my lower back. I got it a looong time ago, but it's very meaningful. I'm a Christian, and wanted a tattoo that represented that. The Trinity symbol represents The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit being one and the same.
