No and that's a good thing b/c dh tends to react before thinking, and I'm sure he'd shoot someone and end up in jail. I don't think he'd shoot me but if someone was caught messing with our property they'd be in big trouble.  We've had our house broken into and after that we did think about it but both decided it was not a good idea.

I voted "Special Snowflake." ?DH is a cop, but I don't think either of us would want a gun in the house if he weren't.

We have several.  Only 2 handguns since both my DH and oldest DS have CCW's.  We also have about 5-6 rifles (hunting) and a pellet gun.

I voted Special Snowflake.  MH has guns but I'm not comfortable having them in the house until he gets a gun safe.  So they are currently at my parents house in their gun safe.

MH and Dad are both huge hunters.  I grew up with guns always in the house and was taught they were off limits and should be respected.  So, it's pretty normal to me for them to be in the house.

We have one handgun that DH uses for target practice. 

 We don't have a gun safe now but will get one soon before the kiddo gets here.

We have a handgun that is in a safe. I see no problem having it around as long as the kids are taught about it and how dangerous they can be.

No. I think DH owns one (though now I'm second-guessing myself--maybe he got rid of it) but it is stored at the shooting range. He hasn't been in probably 2.5 years.

Yep.  About 6 of them.  DH is a hunter.   They are locked up, bullets are locked up seperately.

We have a small arsenal. They are locked up and stored unloaded. I'm not concerned about them in the least.

SO is 100% anti gun when there is a child in the house. And I agree, why risk it.  My mother however raised me with her shotgun by the door. eh.

Yes, several DH is a cop. They are in the safe. Even if he wasn't though, I'd still have one in my house. If someone were to ever break in my house while I am home I will not be afraid to use it either!!!!

Yes, they are in a safe.  DH even bought DS a couple of fake ones and DS will carry it around and say "I don't point it at you."  He's not allowed to point it at himself or even the dog.  DH is big on teaching him gun safety.  I'm a little leary on the whole thing myself but he taught me to load and shoot as well since he's out of town a lot.

Yes, but DH is federal law enforcement.  They are in a safe if they are not on DH's person.  I hate having them, but with his job, it is what it is.
