Mangos okay as a first food???

I was looking over www.wholesomebabyfood.com and went to Whole Foods to stock up on some of the Stage 1 food. (obvisously making my own)

I misread and thought Mangos was a Stage 1... it was actually mango nectarines..

I made it already.... I can't imagine why I couldn't give at this stage... they're sweet and not citrus?

TIA

And seriously I can't believe how much time I spend researching solids.... its not rocket science, lol!

Re: Mangos okay as a first food???

  • I think it's a Stage 2 because the consistency is a little thicker, at least the Gerber Magno is.  We gave it to C early on and he did fine with it.

(and I can totally relate to overthinking solids!)

  • I know how you feel. I did so much research and everything, I just started being more relaxed. Jake loves both mangos and nectarines especially nectarines.

  • Mangos were one of AJ's first foods! He LOVES them! I don't see why it would be a problem.
  • We haven't done mango because my FIL has a bad allergy to it. If you don't have a history, I would say it is okay.
