Team pink moms....?

I was told today our CVS test results say that the twins were both girls.  I'm nervous.  I know that sounds dumb, but I am a adoptive mom to a boy.  Any girl advice?

  • Wanted to say congrats on your girls!  We are also expecting two girls. The comments from people have been 50/50 - so are mean, some are nice.

I am more nervous for the teenage years, so I figure I still have some time to freak out!

  • I was actually a little disappointed when I found out I was having two girls. My children are girl, boy, girl, boy. So I wanted to stay with the pattern. But after posting that on here, it felt better knowing that it is natural to feel a little let down, but now I am looking forward to them! I guess the only advice I really have is have fun with them no matter the sex! I do think my boys are a little easier, but I wouldn't change any of them for a moment! Some days my 13 year old can be a pain in the butt, but I think back to when I was her age. I was worse to my mom than she is to me. Just have fun!!!

Thank you!  I cried....but am starting to embrace the Team Pink idea.  and i'm not a crier....  it was just a few short tears, but on the inside i was thinking...what am I going to do...?    I spoil my 3 nieces rotten.... since they were born.....now they are 12, 14, 17.  I love girls.  I give them mani-pedis...take them to V.Secret....fun stuff.  Thx for all of your support w/my CVS questions.  Doctor told me my "report" said I have a Subchorionic hematoma.  that explains all of the bleeding.

I have been a stress case since I am not a gal who usually spots/bleeds in pregnancy....  I'm just going to take it easy.  and still can't believe she went cervical.....Huh?

  • Congrats! We were not told the sex of the babies until 18 weeks.  This time around, it is the same thing.  We will find out at 20 weeks.  I would wait to buy things or save receipts.  There have been people who found out girls at 12 weeks and then were told boys or a boy and girl.

  • Congrats on Team Pink!! Dh and I were shocked when they confirmed G/G (we were given a guess at our NTS and they said B/G...). I really thought I would have boys. But it was a fun surprise and we just love our lil' girls soooo much. They are super fun to shop for and decorate their nursery! We have found (so far!) that they are so gentle and lively. I hope my girls are close friends like I am w/ my sister (who is 3 yrs older than me).

  • We had a CVS done....and they called me with the results this Friday.  Hopefully the test is accurate....but, I am also happy with 2 boys or a B/G.  Smile

Yeah, that's different that she went cervical with your bleeding.  All I can guess is that that is what she was used to and saw through the u/s that she could do it easily and that's why she chose to do it that way.

All this is so emotional.  Don't think for a minute that you're in the minority in that sense.  It'll get better!
