Yes, no, and yes.  The travel system (and PnP and high chair) were on sale, and being discontinued, so we snatched them up.  We bought the crib two weeks ago.

We haven't bought 1 single item for the baby yet.  We are planning to wait until we find out if it's a boy or a girl.

Yes we've got all 3 but only because the travel system and the swing were really good prices. Crib was a gift from my mother-in-law.

Yes, all three. Plus a playard, bedding, and holiday outfits. (We buy those on clearance after each holiday for a great discount). We have a halloween costume, Thanksgiving outfit, and Baby's first Christmas outfit.

No, I actually put them on my registry. I don't expect anybody to get them so i figure I'll just buy them after the shower.  Plus, that way I get 10% off on it when I go back to buy whatever is remaining on my registry. Can't beat that deal!

 I did however get the crib and its ready to go!

Crib- yes.  Ordered at 19 weeks after big u/s.

Swing & stroller were purchased off our registry already.  Carseat has not been purchased yet.  I'll buy it after the shower if I don't get it as a gift.

We have a crib and a bassinet.  The inlaws are getting the car seat and I am not worried about the rest.  I want the nursery done by the shower and the rest we will worry about after the shower.  There is plenty of time but if you need a crib, remember you might have to order it, so have another option (like a bassinet/pnp) or be prepared to settle for something in stock.

We didn't buy much until after my shower with DD. That was around 7 months pg, so you still have time.

My mom ordered our crib a few weeks ago and we already have our stroller.  Our swing and carseat are on our registry.

We bought a Graco pack n' play and swing last month at Target when they were 50% off.  The pattern was being discontinued so we got a good deal.  Although they are both the same blue pattern because we thought we were having a boy and nope - its a girl.  Oh well.  She won't care! 

We have nothing else besides clothes.  I do feel like we need to get a move on things.  We haven't even registered yet!!

We are under very strict instruction from both of our families not to buy anything! It's the first grand baby/cousin/nephew everything, so everyone is really excited! We haven't bought any of the big items, we registered for everything and will buy anything left over after the shower (from what I've been told that won't be much!). So far we have the infant car seat and a pnp, which were both gifts. We are very lucky to have such generous families but I also feel like I'm kind of missing out not being able to go buy it myself.

We got our crib, but no swing or travel system.  They are both on our registry, so waiting for shower to see if we get either of them, if not I will go and buy them.

nope! not yet...   We haven't bought too much yet.  I'm a bargain shopper and I've been waiting on stellar deals.  Of course, if it gets to be too close to the due date and I still haven't found a good deal,  I'll do what I gotta do and pay *gasp* full price.   That was hard for me to say... I don't pay full price for anything..lol

haha us too.   We didn't get halloween or Thanksgiving outfits because we didn't know the sex yet.... but we did get a couple unisex Christmas outfits and I found some Halloween hairbows @ Walmart just a couple weeks ago. :P

Wal-mart has some wintery type clothing on sale for $1 right now.. so I got some 6-9 months.  I figure even if she doesn't end up fitting them, hey, it was $1.

the only thing I've purchased is the bedding and I just got that last week. I have my crib picked out, except color. I'm more worried about getting the remodeling done for the nursery than anything else. (it's gutted and half drywalled at the moment) I hope to get the travel system and swing as gifts, but we'll just buy them if we don't. No biggie. My last shower is on May 22, so I'll go buy anything else after that at a whopping 36 weeks preggo. haha!

This.  The only things we have were a swing my sister bought us for Christmas, and 3 little onesie outfits that other people have randomly bought for us.

We have bought all of those.  I think you have plenty of time for the swing and travel system but as for furniture it never hurts to order early because delivery can take forever.  We ordered our furniture in december and just got it this week....also one of the pieces was wrong so we will be waiting another 8 weeks for his changing table...which means I will be full term.  If you aren't waiting to get it at a shower and can afford it I would just go get them, that's what we did.

I am pregnant again right now but the best item we bought (my son is 9 months) that we used from day one and even to this day is the graco soothing center. It was a little expensive but truly worth every penny. It even has a plug so you don't have to buy batteries which really gives it the extra power to swing my baby now that his other swing will not move and inch with him in it! With a normal swing you can not use it until the baby can hold their head up, then I think at barely 20 lbs even though it stated more it just wouldn't move anymore. So all in all it was not usable for long at all. The soothing center also takes your Graco car seat that goes with the travel system. I thank it for the only sleep i did get when my son first came home from the hospital. It also has timed functions as in music and motion.
