What exactly does DD mean?

It is dirty delete.

It is because often time people when they are getting made fun of or don't like the advice they are getting after making a post delete it instead of just taking it.  Some of the national boards can be really snarky and unaccepting of any sort of ignorance or stupidity.

Well I think most people here delete because they regret airing some dirty laundry, so it's the opposite, like a clean up delete.

Maybe so but DD is a whole lot nicer to say (and read) than CUD, if you ask me. ;0)
