I went on my first tour this morning. I cried as soon as I left at the thought of leaving LO. We have 4 more centers to look at and I'm sure one will be a good fit but this process sucks.

I will be visiting 2 tomorrow. We're still kind of deciding whether to use a daycare center or a home daycare as we've gotten very good recommendations for both.
My mom had a home daycare when I was growing up and to this day I can't smell maple syrup without wanting to throw up. So to avoid traumatizing future generations, I'll probably go with a center.

We will be using one and I hope to start scheduling some tours this month. I'm so nervous about leaving LO as well. I'm trying to find one close to work so I can go visit during my lunch (if allowed).

I've looked at a couple and was really impressed with one, I really hope we get in. It's like a little school, there was artwork that the toddlers had done all over the place, and it was clean and new.
BFP #1- 1/16/09- Baby Ava stillborn at 32 weeks, possible cord accident, 7/30/09
BFP #2- 1/5/10- Baby Jack born at 37w2d, 6lbs 13 oz, 8/24/10
BFP #3- 7/30/11- Baby Boy Due April 3, 2012
We are using one. We checked out 4 last year - one of them scared me so bad I wouldn't give them my child if they paid me. But we did find a very good one so keep looking.
I am visiting one tonight and one tomorrow morning. The first time I looked online, I cried because I was looking at a more commerical daycare and I felt like my kid would just be another number. But I have checked out the daycare at the Y since then and actually liked it a lot. I'm visiting a few more and hope that comparing several will help me figure out what we like best and feel is safest.

Baby 4...ok probably another boy here haha 9.20.15
We will be going with an in-home daycare mainly because there are no daycare centers where we live. I used to work at a YWCA daycare. Things I would tell you to ask about is security, how many teachers and/or aides are there per child, and what there turnover rate is for the care givers. Good luck. I hope you find a center you like.
Yup. With a heavy heart, but realistically to give this kiddo the life we want we need my income. The LA scene is crazy so I have tours set up before I even get out of first tri. Oy.
