Hi Everyone,
I am fairly new to the board and having been TTC for four months. Since going off the pill (which I have been on for 10 years) I have had regular periods. Every 27 days give or take a day. This month, however I am 6 days late. I've taken two HPT, one the day my period was due and another 3 days later, and both came out negative. It is completely depressing and confusing. I haven't had any real symptoms except I am tired. This has also been an extremely stressful week for me. My puppy died a couple of weeks ago and work has had its challenges. Of course, I am wondering if this is causing my period to be late. I have been stressed before, more so, and I have always been regular. I am really confused. Any advice out there? Anyone in the same boat as me? If AF don't show by this weekend, I plan on testing again.
Re: Late with Negative HPT
If you're not charting, you don't know when you O'd. If you O'd late, your period may not be late yet. I'm usually a 27 day girl as well, but my last cycle was randomly 31 days, and this cycle, I'm on CD16 and haven't O'd yet.
I would recommend charting with Fertility Friend. You can click anyone's FF ticker to get to the site. There are free tutorials to teach you how.
GL!
This. I went through the same thing last month. I've been TTC for about 6 months, and my cycle was pretty regular. I was a bit "late" and was getting negative HPTs. I finally realized that I was going to go nuts if I didn't chart! Good luck!

All of the above gave great advice. I'd like to add that the reason your periods were as regular as they were was because of the BCP.
