is landon a girl name??

nothing against gender neutral names, but we are going for the distinctly "boy" name and we have decided on landon.  i just entered it into nymbler and it asked if it was a boy or a girl. when you hear the name landon, do you think BOY or could it go either way?

Boy for sure but I wouldn't put it past someone to name their girl Landon. Apparently boys names are in for girls.

Actually the only Landon I knew growing up was a girl (she's in her 20's now), so it does seem a little feminine to me. The name is nms either way.

Unfortunatly the way things are going, it seems a girls name could just be about anything now a days. I think 100% boy when I hear the name but there will always be some girl's mom who disagrees.

However, I think it is definitely one of those names that could cross genders in a few years or so.

my niece's name is landyn olivia.  her parents wanted a boyish first name with a super-girly middle name and i think it's beautiful.  i hadn't heard landon/landyn as a girl's name before, but i've loved it since they first chose it!  they do get some funny looks from people, though, when they tell them their little baby in a pink outfit's name is landyn

The only Landon I know is girl so for me its totally a girl name
