Babymoon in Cape Cod- need your recs!

Hi Boston ladies! DH and I are thinking of doing a short babymoon in Cape Cod when he gets back from deployment in April, and we want to stick within a 3 hour drive (we live in CT.) So Cape Cod is perfect! Any recommendations on where to stay? Thanks for your help!

Re: Babymoon in Cape Cod- need your recs!

  • Hi Rachelilly,
My in-laws have a house down the cape, so we are down there almost every weekend, so i'm very familiar with the cape.

It depends on your price range. I think one of the nicest places on the cape is either Chatham Bars Inn or Waquasett Inn (both very pricey though - but amazing). Chatham Bars Inn is in walking distance to the Chatham town center so you could walk around shop, eat, etc. Waquasett Inn is more of a secluded resort with a spa, restaurants, pool, etc (more for if you want to stay on the resort & just relax).

Their is a B&B in Chatham called the Captain's House that I stayed at the weekend that I got engaged that is awesome too.

But if you want to go much farther out on the cape - I would look into Provincetown (fartherest point on the cape - so this will add a bit more of a drive for you). I am not familar with the B&Bs or inns in Provincetown but if you search online, you will find a ton as the town is very quaint & capeish.

One warning regarding Provincetown (P-Town as it is commonly called), it does have a strong gay population. So the night life may be a little different than a normal cape town. But since you probably won't be bar hopping, you should be fine - plus it always makes for a fun night to take in one of the local drag shows!

  • Are you looking for an expensive resort? Or just a nice place to stay and enjoy the cape?

I grew up down there, so I know a lot of great places.

If you are looking down cape - Chatham Bars Inn is amazing (but very pricey) -- ocean all around, not much else

Falmouth area - Inn on the Square
(right in downtown, walk main st w/lots of restaurants and shops, beach close by, bike path to woods hole/falmouth)

Sandwich area - Daniel Webster Inn & Spa (canal bike path, beaches, nice town)

    Have fun!!! Babymoons are wonderful!!!

  • Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I think we're going to go to the Falmouth area. Price range is kind of open since we're only going for a few days. We're really open to anything- I think a spa is a plus though because I want to do another prenatal massage :)

  • Hi!  I live in Falmouth- and the only place here that I know of that does prenatal massages is the Belleza Spa on mainstreet, but you have to be out of your first trimester:  https://www.spabellezza.com/

There also might be a few traveling massage therapists that would come to your hotel, but you'd have to look around.
