A thought about kids knowing address, name, etc...

How would this info help if a child was kidnapped? Obviously, A kidnapper wouldn't care. And if your child was kidnapped it would be all over the news and their "rescuer" would probably know their name. Otherwise how would they know the child needed rescuing? This is just my rambling, not meant to be snarky ( certainly not at a paranoid pregnant woman). I get that it is just good info for a kid to know in general ( BTW, my kids don't know their name, phone number, or address...we will work on it tom.)

I want him to know it in case he ever gets lost or separated from us.  DS has known our phone number and address since he was 5.  And he's learned 3 new addresses since then because we keep moving

I guess that's because of my "kidnap-proof" comment.  No, I just want him to be able to tell someone who he is and where to find us if he needed to.  He knows that if he gets lost, it's safe to approach police, firemen, (and other "uniforms"), a mom with lots of kids, or a lady with a baby in her belly.  Regardless of kidnappers or not, it's far safer for them to know their info (if possible) than not.

well, what if the rescuer didn't know their name or if they were lost....plus I just think it's good for them to know. that's all.
