So, my 2yo DD and I are in the car listening to Mickey Mouse music and I am singing along to the music thinking she will love it and she goes, "Ma, don't talk!" 

Nice - even my two year old thinks I am a crappy singer!

Every time I started singing again - "Mom, don't talk."

I always get me Mommy not you.  If I start to sing she will stop singing.

My DS says 'stop singing mommy!' But he says it to everyone so I don't feel so bad. I think he just likes to hear the music-not someone singing.

I will just keep telling myself that that's the reason - she wants to hear the music and not someone singing! That makes me feel much better! LOL!
