a taste of honey in staten island

I'm looking for a place to have my son's Baptism reception in Brooklyn or Staten Island.  Has anyone ever been to A Taste of Honey on Staten Island and what did you think of it?  the service? the food?  Or if anyone has any other recommendations on a reception location, I would appreciate it!  Thanx!

    I haven't been there in years, but DHs cousin was just an informal dinner there the other night and brought home a whole tray of extra food.  It was delicious!  

    Are you for something that's more of an afternoon reception or evening?  I got a great deal when I did a shower at Real Madrid but I think they only do parties in the afternoon.

    I've never been there, but my fav restaurant is ESCA on Richmond Road -- that's easy to get to for anyone coming from BKLYN also... They have a seperate party room or a second floor (two steps raised).  Food is excellent.  Sangria is even better.

    Thanx everyone!  They were actually booked that day anyway, so I'm going with the place I used last time, Gennaro's in Brooklyn.  I was just looking to try some place new.  Thanx again!
