head cold before labor?

one of my friends is 37 weeks pregnant and she posted on facebook that she has a head cold. someone replied to her and told her that it is common for a pregnant woman to go into labor about a week after experiencing a head cold. has anyone ever heard of this before? it was a new one for me!

I have no heard this, but I am 36 weeks pregnant and have a cold as well.  But I also know a lot of people who have colds right now.  I haven't had any signs of labor either.

Egh...I hope not.  I'm only 34 wks and am starting to get a head cold.  I did think it was kinda odd since I haven't been sick at all since I've been pg.  But we aren't ready for this LO just yet.  Hope it's not true!

I hope not. I've had a head cold for about a week now, I'm not ready for this little guy to come out yet.

That better not be true since I have a head cold now and am only 32 weeks pregnant.  My SIL had a head cold about 2 weeks before she had their little girl.  But, tis the season for colds, so it's common just to have a cold.
