I just wanted to share this link to the Virginia Health Information's obstetric care guide.  It has a ton of great info in the links to the left of the page, and a useful database with hospital and OB stats on episiotomy and primary c-section rate.  Hope someone finds it helpful in making an informed decision. 

Along the same lines, if you haven't checked out the Birth Survey and are expecting, it has detailed info on OBs and midwives.  If you've had a baby within the past 2 years, fill it out -- the more people who complete it, the better a resource it is for expectant moms.
